Connecting Nexus with Tableau

This tutorial shows how data from Nexus can easily be visualized in Tableau. The steps shown are for Tableau Online, but are essentially the same for Tableau Desktop.

To connect Tableau to Nexus, you need a Nexus account with Expert privileges.

Go to External Assets and click on New Workbook.

In the Connect to Data screen, go to Connectors and then PostgreSQL. Then in the screen that pops up, enter the credentials that you received in the Expert confirmation email, then hit Sign In.

Enter the name of your organization's world in the search box to show only those tables that you can access.

That's it, you're connected! Drag any table from the left panel to the center to start playing with the data.
